Each of the task forces in BioAssist is led by two people: the principle investigator (PI) and the project leader. The scientific leadership is performed by the PI, but practical organisation is performed by the project leader. All project leaders are part of the BioAssist Engineering Team

The PL: The PI:
  • Organizes practicalities and meetings
  • Keeps projects focused
  • Gives guidance on technical methods
  • Stays on top of latest IT/technical developments
  • Maintains contact with other task forces via their PL's
  • Decides on the goals for the collaboration
  • Prioritizes the targets
  • Gives guidance on scientific content
  • Stays on top of latest bio/scientific developments
  • Maintains contact with (potential) other users
